Tiered Wedding Cakes
Our serving guide is based on standard 4 layer round cakes. We allow for a slightly larger than standard piece of wedding cake, giving you more cake for your money. Keep this in mind when instructing the cutting of your cake.
Pre-scored for ease of cutting in 72, 80, or 96 servings.
Made from scratch, served in individual disposable serving cups, and each garnished with a dollop of fresh whipped cream and a chocolate covered espresso bean.
Carl’s signature buttercream sandwiched between your choice of drop cookies (see below for options) or fluffy cake in any of Carl’s classic flavors.
Layered with cake, fresh berries, and your choice of whipped cream or Carl’s signature buttercream, and served in individual disposable servings cups.
Garnished with fresh berries or hand-piped chocolate garnishes such as a monogram of the couples’ name.

At your appointment, you will sit down and meet with one of our amazing cake decorators to sample a full variety of cake and filling flavors, share your ideas and together create the wedding cake of your dreams. Feel free to use one of our wedding cake designs for your inspirations or bring along your own ideas to guide our team. Cake tastings are $5 for up to 4 guests. This fee is waived if you book at the time of your tasting!
A $50 deposit is required to reserve your date for all cakes over $100. In the event of cancellation, your deposit is non-refundable. Any changes may be requested 3 weeks prior with the final payment due 2 weeks prior to your event date.
If supplies, supports, or posts are required for your cake (usually larger cakes) a credit card number will be required as a deposit.
Delivery is $55 within 20 miles of Market Street Diner. For cake delivery outside of Market Street Diner's 20-mile radius, there is an additional $2.50 per mile fee. An additional set-up fee may apply for cakes with 5 or more tiers or for cupcake and dessert arrangement (see below).
If you choose to pick up your cake, you should make sure you have a clean, flat surface to set your cake on while driving. We suggest you bring a large piece of flat foam to put under your cake to keep it from sliding around. Larger cakes may not be in a box. Please ask for details. Vans, SUVs or any vehicle that has a seat that folds down make the best transport. Air conditioning in the summer is a must. Once you leave with the cake, it is no longer the responsibility of Carl’s Cakes.
We are always willing to decorate your cake with fresh flowers or lay your flowers around the base of the cake at delivery. If you have a specific layout, please give us a sketch of the exact placement. All flowers need to be provided by your florist. Please coordinate with your florist to ensure the flowers are available at the time of delivery. Examples of the colors and types of flowers you will be using can be very helpful in designing your cake.
Your topper should be at the reception site when we deliver the cake. Please provide the dimensions of the base of your topper 2 weeks prior to the event date. Keep in mind the weight of the topper when choosing one. You do not want something too heavy that will damage the cake.
We are happy to deliver and arrange your cupcakes or desserts for your reception. There is a sliding fee of $15 per 100 cupcakes or desserts. (This is in addition to the delivery fee). We have several cupcake stands available for rental that hold up to 75 pieces. The rental fee is only $30 per stand, but any stands not returned within a 48 hour period will be charged an additional $75.
